Reese Witherspoon began seriously pursuing her acting career after first attending Stanford University. Early successes in the field of critical success included parts in movies like Pleasantville and Election but it was her performance as Elle Woods in the box office smash Legally Blonde that marked a pivotal moment for her career. Witherspoon was awarded the Academy Award, in 2005 in her role as Walk the Line. Water for Elephants this means conflict and Wild were two of her most recent films and she was also nominated for an Oscar. Witherspoon was also an accomplished TV producer and a star on David E.
