Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder (born Winona Laura Hornowitz) was born in Winona Minnesota. Parents named her Winona after her hometown. Michel Horowitz' father was an editor and writer along with Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder, who considers herself Jewish, is descended from Ryder's Jewish father. The actress is the younger sister of Uria, and has half-siblings Jubal & Sunyata. At the age of seven, Ryder was only seven her family moved from Mendocino County, California. Mendocino County California. The family didn't have electricity. Television books was her only source of entertainment to spend the time and she was a voracious reader. Ryder took acting classes when Ryder was 12, at the American Conservatory Theatre. In 1986 she was offered her first big-screen role in the movie Lucas she was only 15 years old. Ryder experienced bullying at her high school. Ryder believed that her future as an actress could make a difference. It didn't turn out. But that didn't stop her pursuing dreams. In 1988, she got her breakthrough role in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder played roles that were successful in a variety of films. In 1993 Ryder was twice nominated in the Academy Awards. One of was for her performance in The Age of Innocence.
