Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine combines R&B, soul gospel, and jazz into the style that is his own. The singer has worked everywhere from Broadway to The Democratic National Convention to the European music scene and the club scenes. Sunshine, whose given name was Denise White. While she's based in Atlanta, her roots are situated in Chester Pennsylvania. There she started to pursue an interest in music, performing and singing at church. Following her graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she embarked on her journey of music in the Atlanta's R&B music scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single with her vocals was called Stalk You A house 12 released exclusively in Japan and was later remixed by a variety of producers and has become an essential part of her live set. She has also contributed her vocals to The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. She was appointed as the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy- and Tony Award winning vocalist who has worked on stage production Dreamgirls at the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, approached her about being the director of the choral group for the production. Sunshine gained attention during the four daily performances in 2008. Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was later invited to sing at Barack Obama's 2009 Inauguration.
