The actress, who was once the cover model for Vogue magazine, lives today with her family in Beverly Hills along with Samantha and Olivia. Ann Turkel's former husband Richard Harris has passed away after just 8 years of marriage, and 20 years of divorce. Turkel was raised as a Jewish girl in Manhattan and attended classes with Sanford Meisner and Philip Burton by the age 16. Ann at the time was 16 years old studied at the Neighborhood Playhouse (formerly the Musical Theatre Academy) as well as the Musical Theatre Academy under some top acting instructors in the city. They include Sandy Meisner & Philip Burton. Ann began to join her fellow students as a bandleader and began singing. It was in Stockbridge, Massachusetts she also had a summer time at the Berkshire Playhouse performing plays like The Pajama Game and West Side Story. Ann was spotted at a Vogue Magazine fashion show by Gloria Schiff, an editor. Within a matter of a few days the editor-in-chief Diana Vreeland commissioned Ann to shoot the first Vogue Cover together with photographer Richard Avedon. Ann was soon one of the most sought-after models across the country, appearing on cover images for some of the largest fashion magazines. This comprised Vogue Bazaar as well Cosmopolitan. Two years later, Ann was able to enter the world market modeling successfully for a number of companies in Europe and Japan for the roles of face for big brands in the cosmetic industry like Max Factor Revlon and Chanel.
